In this role, you will provide direct therapy services to approximately 40 elementary students, helping them build the speech and language skills needed to thrive both in and out of the classroom. The district is actively reviewing candidates, and the Director is scheduling interviews ASAP.
Position Overview

- Pay Rate: $35-$40 hourly
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week

- Caseload: Approximately 40 students
- Location: School-Based Opportunity near Pendleton, OR
Qualifications
- Active SLPA license/certification in Oregon
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an approved Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Previous experience in a school-based SLPA, pediatric therapy, or educational setting preferred
- Knowledge of speech and language interventions, articulation, fluency, and social communication skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising SLP
- Support students with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, and student progress records
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to reinforce communication strategies
- Assist with classroom-based interventions and carryover activities
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for students
