Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably at the elementary level
- Familiarity with direct and indirect speech-language intervention under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to organize and track student progress efficiently
- Passion for supporting children's growth and learning
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services to around 40 elementary students, following IEP goals and therapy plans developed by a supervising SLP
- Deliver therapy sessions, both individual and group, targeting speech, language, and communication skills
- Implement activities and exercises to strengthen articulation, language comprehension, and social communication
- Record and document student progress, maintaining up-to-date records and data logs
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and families to support student development
- Adapt therapy approaches and materials to meet the unique needs of each student
