Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain compliance documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Create supportive and inclusive learning environments
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Active California Special Education Teaching Credential through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Mild/Moderate Support Needs, Extensive Support Needs, or equivalent authorization may be required depending on assignment
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs preferred
- School-based experience preferred but not required
