As a valued member of the special education team, you'll provide evaluation, intervention, and consultation services while partnering with educators, families, and related service providers to create meaningful outcomes for students.

  • Compensation: $47–$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • CCC-SLP preferred, but qualified Clinical Fellows may be considered
  • Previous school-based, pediatric, or early childhood experience preferred
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders, articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication interventions
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to Pre-K and elementary students
  • Maintain accurate treatment notes, progress monitoring data, and compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff to support student achievement
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and educational planning
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to address articulation, language, fluency, pragmatic language, and communication challenges
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Support students in developing the communication skills necessary for success in the classroom and beyond
