In this rewarding contract opportunity, you’ll provide vital speech and language services to school-age students onsite, working closely under the supervision and mentorship of experienced, licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. This position is dedicated to enhancing students’ communication skills, supporting both their academic achievement and social development.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, or related field, or an AAS degree from an SLPA program
- Active and current SLPA license or certification
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively—both orally and in writing—with staff, students, and families, even in challenging or crisis situations
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites if needed (travel between buildings may be required)
- Commitment to provide direct and indirect speech/language services as outlined in each student’s IEP
- Strong professional ethics and collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals through direct and indirect speech therapy services
- Collaborate with supervising SLPs and other educational professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reports
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
- Ensure all services are delivered onsite (not a remote position)
