School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Rochester, Washington

Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Valid and current SLPA licensure, meeting state requirements.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or in a school-based setting preferred.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and experience in healthcare environments a bonus.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Able to adapt communication style to suit students’ individual needs and abilities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
- Work with students individually or in small groups to develop communication skills.
- Record and track student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.
- Support the speech pathologist with assessment processes and preparation of therapy materials.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and family members regarding student needs and progress.
- Participate in meetings and professional development to grow skillsets.
