You’ll play a key role in assisting a district’s speech-language team as they onboard and transition new staff members completing licensure hours.
This full-time assignment offers 35 hours per week, working closely with students across various age groups and campuses, with more specific assignments to be determined in upcoming discussions. You will collaborate with dedicated professionals, bring your expertise to school settings, and make a difference during a crucial back-to-school period.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Texas SLPA license required
- Previous school-based SLPA experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to rapidly complete Texas fingerprint credentialing (if not already completed)
- Flexibility in school assignments and student caseload
- Reliable and proactive in supporting district and student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support services to students under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists
- Assist with ongoing therapy, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, teachers, and administrative staff
- Contribute to IEP implementation and speech improvement goals
- Attend meetings and trainings as required
