School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Corona, California
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming academic year. This role focuses on providing vital communication support in an engaging school environment near Corona, CA. You’ll collaborate with speech-language pathologists to help students overcome challenges and reach developmental milestones.
Openings are available for up to three dedicated professionals, each working no more than 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Two assignments run from August 5, 2026, to October 30, 2026, with an additional opening through February 27, 2027. All positions are on-site, ensuring meaningful, hands-on connections with students and staff.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license for practice in California
- Experience in a school environment is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Commitment to supporting students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive working both independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
- Deliver direct intervention services to students, both individually and in groups
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes
- Collaborate with educators and staff to foster student progress
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment
