School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Richmond, TX
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students during the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role, located near Richmond, TX, is an on-site position beginning August 11, 2026, and continuing through May 26, 2027. The role primarily assigns one school, with the potential to float between two as needed, focusing on an elementary caseload of approximately 80–90 students (with peak times up to 100).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active, valid professional SLPA license for Texas
- Prior experience in school-based settings highly valued
- Must successfully complete required state fingerprinting and background check
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adjust to varying needs
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Candidates who have previously worked for Lamar or have been terminated from any school district will need to disclose this information as part of the application process
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language support services to elementary students
- Collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and educational staff
- Collect data, document progress, and participate in team meetings
- Support students’ growth and communication goals in a school setting
- Adapt to assignments at one primary school, with limited floating between schools as needed
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), but those seeking part-time (approximately 30 hours weekly) are also encouraged to apply. Candidates’ residential location will be considered in school assignments to ensure manageable commutes.
