Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license required and in good standing
- Experience working within K-12 school settings is highly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to follow IEPs and treatment plans under the supervision of an SLP
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students as specified by individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in screening, assessing, and documenting student progress
- Implement activities and exercises developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support students’ communication and social skills development in classroom and small group settings
- Maintain accurate session notes, records, and reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Attend relevant meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
- Foster an encouraging and inclusive atmosphere for student growth
