School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Lakewood, Washington
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication growth during the 2026-2027 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This contract-based opportunity in a dynamic, collaborative educational environment is ideal for professionals passionate about helping children thrive. Full-time SLPs are needed onsite, with roles spanning elementary, middle, and high school levels, offering a powerful opportunity to work with diverse student populations.
You’ll enjoy working in a supportive setting surrounded by education professionals in a role that ensures direct, hands-on care—virtual candidates need not apply. These positions will replace the current teletherapy model, making your on-site expertise vital to student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Washington SLP license or eligibility to obtain
- SLP-CCC credential strongly preferred
- Willingness to be fingerprinted through OSPI, if not already completed
- School-based SLP experience or a passion for working in educational settings
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide therapy for students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to implement effective interventions and IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Attend meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary support team
- Provide education and resources to families and faculty as needed
