Qualifications and Skills:
- Active and unrestricted Maryland SLPA license required
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings preferred
- Solid grasp of current therapy techniques, individualized education plans (IEPs), and data collection
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Adaptability to work across multiple caseloads and age groups
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services under supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Carry out group and individual interventions as outlined in students’ IEPs and treatment plans
- Accurately track progress, maintain thorough documentation, and assist with progress reporting
- Support with speech and language screenings, as well as ongoing assessments
- Foster positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents to facilitate collaboration and goal-setting
- Adjust intervention techniques and materials to meet individual student needs across preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels
