You will collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists and educational staff, providing direct services to students and participating in progress monitoring throughout the academic year. Qualifications:
- Current SLPA licensure in Illinois is required
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to student needs and work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in implementing therapy plans designed by supervising SLPs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs
- Assist in conducting screenings and informal assessments under the direction of a licensed SLP
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and report data to supervising SLPs and educational teams
- Provide support in classroom settings and collaborate with teachers and families to reinforce communication strategies
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as needed
