A part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a school setting located in North Dighton, MA. This role offers 20 hours per week, starting as soon as possible through the end of the school year (EOSY). The position involves travel to various school locations, providing support in speech-language therapy under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans designed by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
- Monitor and document student progress during therapy sessions.
- Prepare materials and set up equipment for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to support student communication goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all regulatory and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or equivalent.
- Experience working in school environments preferred.
- Ability to travel locally to multiple school sites.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to supporting students’ speech and language development.
