Providing vital support to speech and language programs, this full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position serves K-12 students across multiple schools in Cape Coral, FL. This contract role runs through the current school year, offering the opportunity to engage with a diverse caseload while contributing to student success in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist certified Speech Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to students aged PreK through 12th grade.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students with various speech and language needs.
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district policies.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required.
- Previous experience working with school-age children is preferred.
- Ability to complete fingerprinting and background clearance through the Florida AHCA Clearinghouse.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across multiple school sites.
- Flexibility to follow an assigned schedule at different locations including Veterans Park Academy for the Arts, Harns Marsh and Mirror Lakes Elementary, Oak Hammock Middle, and Estero High School.
Location & Schedule:
- On-site positional work only within Cape Coral, FL area.
- Full-time, up to 37.5 hours per week.
- Start date ASAP through June 1, 2026.
