School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Punta Gorda, Florida
A Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support students in a K-12 school setting in Punta Gorda, FL. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to work across multiple school locations serving diverse student populations. The position is scheduled from ASAP through June 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support services to a caseload of 50-55 students.
- Collaborate with the speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement therapy plans.
- Work onsite at designated schools, supporting students at various grade levels.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license.
- Experience with school-based speech-language services preferred.
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and clear background checks through the AHCA Clearinghouse system.
- Flexibility to work at multiple school sites during the week.
Work Locations and Schedule:
- Veterans Park Academy for the Arts PreK-8 (5 days per week).
- Harns Marsh Elementary (2 days per week) and Mirror Lakes Elementary (2 days per week).
- Oak Hammock Middle (4 days per week) and Estero High School (1 day per week).
- Up to 37.5 hours per week, full-time schedule.
This contract role requires on-site work only and is not eligible for virtual or remote options. Credentials and background clearance must be completed prior to start.
