School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Kerman, California

Desired Qualifications:
- Active California SLPA license required
- Minimum of 3 months’ previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a school setting
- Comfort working with elementary (TK-5th grade) students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not necessary
- Commitment to supporting students from various backgrounds
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out therapy activities written by the supervising SLP, both individually and in groups
- Collect data on student progress and maintain organized therapy records
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families, fostering a supportive learning atmosphere
- Implement communication strategies and classroom modifications, as directed
- Attend and participate in team meetings, professional development, and supervision sessions
- Adapt therapy approaches to best serve the needs of the elementary caseload, ensuring every student has the tools to succeed
