Key Qualifications:
- Valid California licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience supporting speech therapy services in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with students, families, and staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to students.
- Carry out therapy activities and interventions as directed, ensuring a supportive and positive approach.
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams to help integrate speech-language goals.
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate, timely records.
- Attend meetings and participate in ongoing training as needed to stay current with best practices.
