Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in San Francisco, CA
Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis near vibrant San Francisco, CA. You’ll work closely with licensed SLPs to deliver therapy services for children with communication challenges, helping them develop vital speech and language skills for academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid SLPA licensure (or eligibility) in California
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit
- Ability to follow IEP goals and treatment plans accurately
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized therapy plans under SLP supervision
- Provide direct interventions to students in both group and one-on-one settings
- Collect and maintain data on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Contribute to IEP meetings and assist with relevant documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions
