School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Elk Grove, CA
Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a school-based setting on a contract basis. You'll use your clinical skills to help students communicate effectively and reach their academic and social goals in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Current SLPA license or eligibility in California
- Experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to follow treatment plans and support individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
- Commitment to ethical and professional standards in therapy
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined by supervising SLP
- Implement and support IEP goals under the guidance of licensed SLPs
- Track student progress, document sessions, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to foster student success
- Adapt therapy activities to fit individual student needs
- Attend team meetings, professional development, and participate in ongoing training as required
