You will mainly serve one elementary campus, with the possibility of floating to an additional location. Your caseload will typically be between 80-90 students, with a maximum of 100 during peak periods. School assignments will take your location into account for convenience.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current SLPA license for Texas.
- Experience in school settings preferred, particularly with elementary-age students.
- Able to complete required state fingerprinting and background checks in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with students, staff, and families.
- Ask if you have previously worked for this district or if you have ever been terminated from a school district position due to required affidavits for hiring.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to elementary-aged students as guided by supervising SLPs.
- Document all services accurately and maintain organized records.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and other school professionals regarding student progress.
- Adjust to caseload needs and float to additional schools if necessary.
