This is a contract opportunity designed for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) specializing in either school or healthcare environments, with an on-site commitment of 39 hours per week supporting young learners near Hubert, NC.
Ideal candidates for this role will be ready to enhance the early educational experience through targeted speech and language interventions, collaborating closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to implement individualized programs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid North Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience supporting preschool-aged children in a school or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with developing and following treatment plans under SLP supervision
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to preschool students as directed by supervising SLP
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and other intervention strategies
- Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate documentation and regular communication with the SLP
- Support classroom staff and caregivers by providing strategies to facilitate language development
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
