Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
- Valid SLPA certification/license for practice in North Carolina
- Prior experience within a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to student-centered care
- Adaptable and ready to support both individual and group interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy plans and activities
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to students under supervision
- Collect and maintain data on student progress
- Prepare therapy materials and document session notes accurately
- Contribute to IEP meetings by offering input and supporting documentation
- Communicate regularly with educators and families to support student growth
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
