Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) | Hermiston, Oregon
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a K–5 caseload, primarily elementary students. The role includes working with students with language-based needs, speech disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
Enjoy a structured work week with full-time position, empowering you to provide direct services, assist in delivering therapy sessions, monitor student progress, and document outcomes for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. The position offers stability through the end of the current school year, with a strong possibility for renewal.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active, valid state SLPA license in Oregon
- Skilled at collaborating with educators and related service providers
- Experience supporting speech and language goals in diverse school settings (early childhood, elementary, middle)
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and reports
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere for all students
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Deliver speech and language therapy activities under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Track and report student progress to inform goal-setting and parent communication
- Adapt therapy methods to meet varying developmental and educational needs across K–12
- Support classroom teachers with strategies and materials for language development.

Compensation for this position ranges from $35 to $40. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
