Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist
- Assist in assessment and progress monitoring of students' communication skills
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments
- Maintain accurate session documentation and communicate student progress to the therapy team and educators
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech therapy goals within the classroom environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Relevant experience working as an SLPA in school-based settings preferred
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and intervention techniques
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively under supervision
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid state certification or licensure as required to practice as an SLPA
