Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field required
- Valid, active SLPA licensure in Pennsylvania
- Prior experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with students, families, and educational staff
- Organized, adaptable, and able to follow treatment plans as outlined by supervising SLPs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and document student progress
- Assist in preparing materials and activities for therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate records, data tracking, and daily notes for each student
- Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to support students’ communication needs within the classroom setting
- Participate in meetings and training relevant to speech-language services
