School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Fresno, California
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students in an engaging elementary school environment. This role focuses on providing Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) services to students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. You’ll work full-time throughout the school year and benefit from supportive mentorship with a collaborative, experienced supervising SLP.
Your caseload will be centered around elementary-aged students, offering you the opportunity to make a measurable impact during foundational learning years. As part of your onboarding, you’ll connect directly with your supervising SLP to ensure a strong professional partnership from the outset.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license in California
- Minimum of three months’ experience as an SLPA
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly valued, though not mandatory
- Previous school-based SLPA experience is a plus
- Comfortable working in a team and communicating with supervising SLPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to elementary school students under supervision
- Implement individualized treatment plans and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student communication needs
- Participate in team meetings and family conferences as required
- Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance and quality care
This contract position offers full-time, full-school-year stability in a supportive school setting, where you can develop your skills and contribute to student growth. You’ll be introduced to your supervising SLP prior to starting to foster a productive working relationship.
