You'll work with a caseload of 50-55 students across up to three local schools, with both part-time and full-time assignments available (up to 37.5 hours weekly). This is an on-site position, ensuring hands-on collaboration with students, educational staff, and families.
Qualifications:
- Active FL DOH SLPA license required
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric speech-language services preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple school locations
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
- Timely completion of FL fingerprinting requirements (or ability to verify previous prints via the AHCA Clearinghouse)
- Willingness to travel between assigned schools within the area
- Passion for fostering student growth in speech and language
Essential Responsibilities:
- Carry out individualized and group therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Track student progress, maintain documentation, and assist with evaluations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special educators, and families to support students’ communication needs
- Adapt materials and activities to fit students’ unique learning requirements
- Participate in school staff meetings and ongoing professional growth opportunities
