Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting schools in the Fort Myers area as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). Multiple positions are available, with openings at various campuses that can be combined for both part-time and full-time schedules, up to 37.5 hours per week. Assignments are on-site only, engaging with a student caseload of 50-55 from diverse age groups across several school locations.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Florida DOH SLPA license is required
- Experience working in school-based settings is highly valued
- Comfortable collaborating across multiple campuses
- Organized, adaptable, and able to manage caseload efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for partnering with supervising SLPs, educators, and families
- Ability to complete time-sensitive fingerprint background checks and JLA badge process per FL guidelines (prior fingerprinting may be transferable)
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services as directed by the supervising SLP
- Support students in developing communication skills through group and individual sessions
- Maintain thorough documentation of services and progress
- Collaborate on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Travel between assigned schools as needed to fulfill caseload requirements
