This contract opportunity offers both part-time and full-time schedules of up to 37.5 hours per week, with placements available across multiple school sites. Assignments may be combined to achieve your preferred schedule, providing flexibility and diverse experiences throughout the school year.
In this essential role, you will work alongside Speech Language Pathologists to serve a caseload of approximately 50-55 students. You’ll deliver direct therapy services to children across various age groups, helping them achieve their communication goals and thrive academically and socially.
Requirements:
- Current FL DOH SLPA license required.
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Fingerprinting as per state requirements; candidates with existing prints through the AHCA Clearinghouse must verify status for clearance or arrange for re-printing.
- JLA badge required; transferable from other Florida districts or can be newly issued (please allow up to 14 business days).
- Capable of traveling between assigned school sites if combining locations into a full-time caseload.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site therapy interventions under the guidance of certified Speech Language Pathologists.
- Support students in achieving individualized communication goals.
- Prepare materials, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings as requested.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment across multiple campuses.
