Two skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are needed to make a difference in dynamic school environments near Federal Way, WA. Assignments are available in both elementary and middle school settings, each offering the chance to help young learners thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students per individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and a virtual supervising SLP to ensure progress and support for each student
- Collect data, maintain accurate student records, and participate in school meetings as necessary
- Adapt activities and materials to accommodate diverse student needs
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students in speech-language programs
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain Washington SLPA certification and OSPI fingerprint clearance
- Experience supporting students in a school setting; prior work with middle schoolers is highly valued for one of the positions
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a school-based team
- Commitment through June 23, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours each week
