Speech Language Pathology Assistant

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for a school-based, contracted position near Fairfax, CA for the 26/27 school semester. A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide services to a diverse group of students ranging in age from 6 to 22, including many on the Autism Spectrum. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your SLPA skills to help students build confidence and communicative abilities in a collaborative school environment. The position offers 12 hours per week, allowing for a balanced schedule and rewarding professional experience.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California
- Experience supporting children or young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and families
- Passion for helping students achieve communication goals
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist supervising Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language services
- Support students aged 6–22, designing and implementing activities tailored to individual needs
- Work directly with students on the Autism Spectrum to enhance communication skills
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in team meetings, collaborating on student progress and strategies
- Follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapt interventions as directed
