We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in Houston, TX for the 2026–2027 school year. This opportunity is available on a full-time or part-time basis and provides the chance to support middle and high school students in a collaborative educational environment.
Position Overview
Full-time or part-time schedule available
Part-time candidates must be available at least 3 days per week
Split assignment between a middle school and high school
Consistent school-year schedule
Onsite services only
Key Responsibilities
Provide speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
Support implementation of student treatment plans and IEP goals
Deliver direct therapy services to students
Assist with documentation and progress monitoring
Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, staff, and families
Support communication development in educational settings
Special Qualifications
Sign Language Skills Required
Candidates must be proficient in sign language and able to maintain conversational communication.
Requirements
Active Texas SLPA licensure (or state-required credentials)
Proficiency in conversational sign language
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
