Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Corpus Christi, TX

Starting on August 10, 2026, and continuing through September 25, 2026, SLPAs will be an integral part of the district’s special education services by helping substitute for permanent staff while they complete mandatory observation hours for licensure. Up to four SLPAs are needed to help cover this essential support, making collaboration and flexibility key attributes for success. Caseload specifics and school assignments will be finalized soon, offering additional clarity as the school year approaches.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) required
- Practical knowledge and experience with school-based SLPA responsibilities preferred
- Ability to complete mandatory Texas fingerprinting for credentialing (if not already in system)
- Adaptability to quickly learn and serve a dynamic student population across potentially changing school assignments
- Commitment to professional communication and timely service
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services under licensed SLP supervision
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and caregivers to support student progress
- Collect and maintain accurate documentation as required by district and state guidelines
- Participate in meetings and training as assigned
