Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Chicago, IL

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA license or eligibility in Illinois
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of speech-language therapy principles and intervention techniques
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Enthusiastic, compassionate, and collaborative approach to student care
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized and group treatment sessions as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Document student progress, session details, and report on outcomes with accuracy and timeliness
- Assist in screening and assessment under supervision, preparing materials and adapting activities for each student’s needs
- Partner with classroom teachers, resource staff, and families to support generalization of skills in educational settings
- Uphold district, state, and ethical guidelines while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
