Choose the schedule that fits your lifestyle: Either split your week between a preschool (3 days) and an elementary school (2 days) with a combined caseload of approximately 60–70 students, or devote your full attention to an elementary setting (5 days) serving around 60 students, including those in three applied skills classrooms.
Highlights of What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals
- Track progress and assist with data collection and documentation
- Adapt activities to meet individualized needs and uphold best practices for school-based therapy
- Participate in team meetings as requested, offering input for student support planning
- Maintain confidentiality and a positive, encouraging atmosphere for students
Desired Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license or certification (or eligibility) for Indiana
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally in preschool or elementary settings
- Understanding of IEPs and the school-based therapy process
- Exceptional communication and organization skills
- Reliable, flexible, and responsive to feedback from supervisors
