Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school-based team in Cary, North Carolina. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy support and assist students with speech, language, and communication needs across a K-12 educational setting.
Minimum Requirements
• Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution
• Completion of supervised clinical fieldwork requirements
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of an SLP
• Implement individualized treatment plans and classroom communication strategies
• Document therapy sessions, student progress, and attendance accurately
• Assist with speech screenings, therapy preparation, and instructional materials
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
