Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students during the 2026–2027 school year. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assist in providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders in a school-based setting.
The ideal candidate will help students improve communication skills that support academic achievement, social development, and daily functioning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement speech and language therapy activities and treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups under supervision
Assist with documenting student progress, therapy data, and session notes
Prepare therapy materials, activities, and classroom support resources
Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication goals
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce communication strategies across educational settings
Maintain accurate records and comply with school district and state guidelines
Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as assigned
Assist with classroom-based interventions and communication support strategies
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or related field
Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, if required
Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Experience working with children or in school settings preferred
