Provide speech-language support within K-12 schools located in Cape Coral, FL, serving students across multiple school sites. This contract position requires delivering services on-site and managing a caseload of approximately 50–55 students ranging from PreK to high school.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting licensed speech-language pathologists with implementing individualized treatment plans
- Conducting speech and language screenings and interventions tailored to student needs
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to coordinate services effectively
- Maintaining accurate student records and documentation
- Complying with Florida Department of Health (DOH) regulations and school district policies
Qualifications:
- Active Florida DOH Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license required
- Prior experience in K-12 school settings preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of 50–55 students with varied speech and language needs
- Completion of fingerprinting requirements through the Florida AHCA Clearinghouse or the ability to obtain a JLA badge within 14 business days
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Location:
- Work will take place onsite at multiple schools, including Veterans Park Academy for the Arts PreK-8, Harns Marsh Elementary paired with Mirror Lakes Elementary, and Oak Hammock Middle paired with Estero High School.
Schedule:
- Full-time, up to 37.5 hours per week
- Start date as soon as possible through June 1, 2026
