Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the state of Massachusetts
- Previous experience in school settings or working with children and adolescents preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, therapists, and other staff
- Knowledge of speech and language development, intervention strategies, and progress tracking
- Organization skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate documentation
- Positive attitude and adaptability in an energetic school environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language intervention to students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and support student goals
- Record and track student performance and communicate progress with supervising SLP and educational team
- Prepare materials and activities tailored to students’ communication needs
- Support classroom teachers with strategies to enhance students’ speech and language success
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and IDEA compliance
