Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA certification and licensure in the state
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to implement speech and language intervention plans as directed by a supervising SLP
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate and patient approach when engaging with students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy sessions to students with speech and language needs
- Prepare and organize materials for therapy and instructional activities
- Document student progress and provide feedback to the supervising SLP and educational team
- Support inclusion of students in classroom activities by implementing individualized communication strategies
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent carryover of speech-language interventions throughout the school day
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student treatment plans
