School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Biola, California
Bring your passion for helping students communicate and thrive to a dynamic elementary school setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract position is ideal for an experienced, motivated SLPA who values collaborative, supportive supervision and is excited to make a meaningful impact on young learners from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade.
As part of a forward-thinking educational team, you’ll serve a diverse caseload of elementary students and receive direct guidance and mentorship from a highly regarded virtual SLP. Before starting, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with the supervising SLP to ensure a strong working partnership.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of three months of recent SLPA experience in a school environment
- Active, valid California SLPA license
- Enthusiasm for working with elementary students grades TK-5
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, but not mandatory
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement SLP-designed treatment plans and support individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Work one-on-one and in group settings to help students improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and the supervising SLP
- Maintain accurate documentation and regularly monitor student progress
- Foster an inclusive, positive therapy environment that encourages student engagement and growth
