Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active California SLPA license required
- Minimum of 3 months prior experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Experience working in elementary school settings (TK-5) highly valued
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, though not required
- Ready to communicate and collaborate effectively with supervising SLP and school team
- Enthusiasm for supporting diverse groups of students and engaging families
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out speech-language therapy activities developed and supervised by the lead SLP
- Provide direct support to students individually or in small groups, helping them build speech, language, and communication skills
- Accurately document student progress and maintain detailed session notes
- Collaborate with the supervising SLP for training, feedback, and ongoing case support
- Participate in team meetings and school events when needed
- Adapt approaches to meet the developmental and cultural needs of students
