Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Biola, CA
Make a difference supporting students in an elementary school setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)! Work closely with young learners from Transitional Kindergarten through fifth grade, delivering impactful services on a full-time, full school year contract. The selected candidate will collaborate with a dynamic supervising SLP through virtual supervision, ensuring clear communication and professional growth. Before placement, you'll have the opportunity to connect with the supervising SLP to ensure a strong working relationship.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active California SLPA license
- At least three months of experience as an SLPA, preferably in a school-based environment
- Comfortable working with students in elementary grades (TK-5)
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable, but not mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language support to elementary students under the guidance of an experienced supervising SLP
- Assist with implementing individualized speech therapy plans, tracking student progress, and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to reinforce communication goals in the classroom
- Utilize engaging activities and resources tailored to young learners
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with the supervising SLP, participating in regular virtual check-ins
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
