Desired skills and background:
- Hold an active California SLPA license
- Minimum of 3 months’ experience working as an SLPA, preferably within a school setting
- Comfortable managing an elementary caseload (TK-5)
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication and partnership abilities to foster teamwork with the supervising SLP
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language support services under supervision, following students’ individualized education plans
- Assist with documentation, data collection, and progress monitoring for assigned caseload
- Participate in team meetings, contribute observations, and coordinate with teachers and support staff
- Maintain a positive, nurturing environment for students, encouraging their communication growth
- Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP, attending collaborative check-ins and seeking guidance as needed
