A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in the Baltimore area, MD, working on-site across two elementary schools. This role focuses on supporting students from PreK through 5th grade in developing effective communication skills. The position offers a weekly schedule split between two schools: Magnolia Elementary (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and Prospect Mill Elementary (Mondays and Wednesdays), totaling 37.5 hours per week. The assignment begins on February 16, 2026, and runs through May 29, 2026, with a potential extension into the Extended School Year program in July.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language support and intervention tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and school staff to support student progress.
  • Carry out assessment and documentation under professional supervision.
  • Maintain compliance with Maryland state licensure requirements and school district policies.
  • Participate in district background checks and credentialing processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including background checks and fingerprints.
  • Experience working with children in early childhood or elementary school settings is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently.
  • Ability to work within a school calendar and cooperate with multiple school sites.
