Ideal candidates bring at least one year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school setting, and are passionate about supporting students’ communication needs. You’ll work closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, contributing directly to the academic and social success of children.
Qualifications:
- Valid credentials as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Minimum of one year experience working as an SLPA, preferably in a school environment
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and documentation procedures
- Ability to work full-time, on-site, Monday through Friday
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Committed to collaborative teamwork and supporting lead SLPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to students under the supervision and guidance of a licensed SLP
- Follow pre-established treatment plans and report student progress to the supervising SLP
- Document session outcomes in accordance with school and district protocol
- Assist in the preparation of materials and resources for therapy sessions
- Engage with educators, students, and families to promote student development
- Adapt to evolving caseload needs and school priorities as necessary
