A dynamic opportunity awaits in the Baltimore area for a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant who is passionate about supporting students from PreK through 5th grade. This on-site, contract role spans two welcoming elementary schools, giving you the chance to impact young learners across diverse settings. With a balanced weekly schedule—three days at Magnolia Elementary (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) and two days at Prospect Mill Elementary (Monday/Wednesday)—you’ll enjoy a full 37.5-hour work week within a supportive school environment. This position starts February 16, 2026, and continues through May 29, 2026, with the potential to extend into the ESY program for four additional weeks in July.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) required.
- Previous school-based SLPA experience preferred, but early career candidates are welcome and supported.
- Ability to provide verification of credentials including images of all licensure at the time of application.
- Familiarity or willingness to complete required background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history review in compliance with House Bill 486.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to children from PreK to 5th grade under the direction of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and special education staff at both assigned schools.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate and contribute to the educational team.
