Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA licensure or certification recognized for work in school settings
- Prior experience or training as an SLPA within K-8 educational environments preferred
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent communication disorders
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities
- Ability to follow SLP’s directives and contribute positively to an educational team
- Organized, reliable, and proactive approach to student support
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to K-8 students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement treatment plans, exercises, and activities designated by the SLP
- Assist with screening, data collection, and progress monitoring for individual students and caseloads
- Document and report student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Foster a supportive and respectful environment while addressing students’ unique communication needs
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
