Qualifications and Experience:
- Current SLPA licensure in Colorado (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience working with K-8 student populations preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to supporting students and staff
- Flexibility to adapt to varying student needs and work in both group and individual settings
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and following school protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in delivering therapy sessions and conducting screenings under supervision
- Support implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication needs
- Prepare materials and activities to target speech and language goals in academic and social settings
- Document student progress and report observations to the supervising SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other staff to reinforce strategies and maximize student outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment
