Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field required
- Valid California SLPA license or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience supporting speech-language therapy services in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to student success
- Ability to follow therapy plans and collect data under SLP supervision
- Comfort working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech-language therapy plans as directed by the supervising SLP
- Assist in conducting group and individual sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Document student progress and provide feedback to SLP and educational teams
- Adapt activities and materials to meet student needs
- Support classroom teachers and staff in carryover strategies for speech-language goals
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of student information
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events as needed
