School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Alexandria, Virginia

Key Qualifications:
- An active SLPA license or certification for practice
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude
- Ability to follow treatment plans and established protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist with delivering therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Support students’ progress toward individual goals through guided exercises and activities
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate records of student performance
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate on strategies for student success
- Communicate progress and concerns effectively to supervisors, teachers, and families
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions and data handling
